More Baby Pics...Ultrasound #2

I had another ultrasound yesterday morning! An optional test is now offered to for chromosonal issues (this is in addition to the AFP test). I know several moms who have had false positives with the AFP test, so this is why I opted to have this test done. It involved an ultrasound and a few drops of blood.

The ultrasound ended up lasting 40 minutes and I was in heaven!!! I could stare at babies all day long!!! I was truly fascinated by what I saw and what an expert the doctor was. He explained all the things they look for...the fluid level at the back of the head, nose development, open hands, the baby's length, heartbeat, etc. etc. etc. I was in awe.

Our little jelly bean has grown so much in just a couple short weeks since the last time we saw him/her! He/she was moving all around and looked like he/she could use a little pillow in there. Here are a few profile pics of our sweet baby #2... Oh and the doctor said that our baby is developing perfectly, thank God!

Potty Time

Vivi and I were in her bathroom the other day when she surprised me by asking me to put her potty seat on the toilet. She hasn't really liked it in the past when we tried it out. I sat her on it and she immediately started smiling from ear to ear and posing yet again! Notice the wad of toilet paper in her hand. She surprised me even more by grabbing a handful of toilet paper and proceeded to use it correctly!! I had no idea she could do this...at this point I went to grab the camera.

Vivi's also become quite the jabberer. She has entire conversations with herself. Damian always laughs and says it sounds like she's speaking Vietnamese. It's adorable! Here's a video. Unfortunately, I didn't capture her using the toilet paper again. And I have no idea where she learned to look at her wrist like she's checking her watch. They must do that at Montessori when their waiting on the kids to finish using the potties? It's amazing how much she imitates these days!

Such a Poser!

Vivi has become quite the little ham whenever she sees the camera. You don't even have to say anything to her and she puts on her prettiest smile and cocks her head to the side.

Chef Vivi

Damian finally got around to putting Vivi's new kitchen together last weekend. Vivi says, "Thank you sooooo much Daddy!" She has been playing with it all week and gets really into her "food preparation." I took this picture in the morning before school. I think she was working on brewing some coffee.

Our Little Family is Expanding!

Our little family is growing...along with my belly! (It's definitely true what they say about your waistline expanding earlier after the first time around.) We are very excited to have another baby in our home and for Vivi to be a big sister. When I tell her, "You're going to be a big sister, " she says "shish-ter". Our new little bundle of joy will arrive around February 5th-ish.
Damian and I got to see our little jelly bean last week. He/she was twisting and turning all around for us. Dr. Hinton delivered Vivi and she said the new baby was making out shout out to her big sister!
