Update

I went to see Dr. Hinton again yesterday and I'm 2cm dilated. We are still anticipating our new little girl's arrival any day!

As I mentioned, when Vivi plays with balls at school, she puts them under her shirt and pretends to be "Mommy." Apparently it has caught on with the rest of the class. When I drop her off or pick her up, all the kids run over and pat my belly and say, "ball, ball, ball!" They even try to lift up my shirt to get a better look. It's too funny!

Here's a little clip of Vivi talking about the alphabet...

Is Tonight the Night?

Every night since Thursday, we've been wondering if tonight's the night for our new baby girl to arrive. I had a doctor's appointment that day and was 1.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Dr. Hinton said I would most likely go into labor within the next 5 days, if not over the weekend. I think our little girl has changed her mind and got all cozy in there because all was calm over the weekend. Vivi knows her sister is in Mommy's belly and likes whichever baby name we say last. Maybe tonight's the night?!
Vivi had a fun day with Daddy today since Montessori was closed for the holiday. They ran around the house, went to the mall, got ice cream, and took her wagon down to the park. She was in heaven!

Will Gordon's 3rd Bday!

We celebrated Will's 3rd birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. It was Vivi's first time to go to Chuck E. Cheese and we had so much fun! Will absolutely loved Chuck E. and gave him lots of hugs and high fives and knuckles!
Les and I have been pregnant together which has been great! She will be having another little boy at the end of March. Funny story she told me...Will insisted for a while that there was not a baby in his Mommy's belly, that she just ate a lot of salsa!
Happy Birthday, Will!!!!

Vivi's 2 Year Check-Up

Vivi had her 2 year check-up last week on January 12th:

Height - 34 inches (50th percentile)
Weight - 28 lbs (60th percentile)
Head Circumference - 19.29 inches

The doctor said Vivi is doing great and said she is like a 3 year old as far as knowing her colors (red, green, blue, yellow, orange, black, brown, and even blond for her hair), recognizing letters of the alphabet (B, C, D, E, G, H, M, N, O, Q, V for Vivi!, W), numbers (1-10), and a wide vocabulary (more than 100 words) with the ability to talk in sentences and it being understandable the fact that she understands everything we say. She's able to dress and undress herself and use the potty (and tell us when she has to go).

He did say that her being reserved and cautious is typical of a 2-3 year old and she will grow out of it.

The doctor gave Vivi her very own Sleeping Beauty book and she pointed out the castle in it and the princess and fairies.

We had a really good report and we are so happy and proud of our little girl!
This is a little snipit of Vivi talking...when we drive up to our house, she points and says, "Vivi's house."
