Our Sweet Pea is 2 Months Old Today!

And she is a perfect little angel! I've probably already said this, but I'll say it again...we thought Vivi was easy, but Addy Jane is even easier!! She is smiling and cooing and has gotten really good at eating (can you tell by her cheeks?!). She goes to sleep around 9pm and will only wake up at 2am and then again at 5:30am to eat. She loves moving her hands and fingers and likes to kick her legs and try to stand up. She has been enjoying being tucked into her sling and going for walks in the park. We are truly blessed and are so thankful that God has blessed us with two very sweet, healthy, and precious little girls.

The Last Few Weeks

Little Miss Multi-tasker

Damian and I finally tackled cleaning out our garage this past weekend (not easy with 2 little ones). Vivi had lots of fun exploring all of the junk we've accumulated. She even found a tool set that I'm sure I bought as a gift for somebody 7 years ago and probably misplaced before I got around to giving it. I've been working on organizing our home after 3 1/2 years and a huge renovation. I now have a gift shelf in my closet, so hopefully that won't happen again!

I can't believe 6 weeks has already passed! As the days go by, Addy Jane looks more and more like her big sister Vivi to me. She's still an angel!

And guess what happened last week?! Her boo boo (as Vivi calls it) finally healed...and it's an innie!

Our Girls

We love them so much! Vivi continues to impress us with how wonderful of a big sister she is. She is quick to tell Addy Jane, "Es okay, es okay Addy Dane, es okay (exactly what it sounds like when Vivi says it)," when she hears her cry and goes over and pats her.

Vivi also surprises us with how much she knows! On our way home from school Friday, she started telling me, "C Mommy look a C, T, star, etc.," and it took me a minute to understand, but she saw the letters C and T in the Taco Bell sign and the star in the USA Drug sign! Yesterday, she picked up a set of our keys, walked over to the drawer where we keep them, opened it up, dropped the keys in, and closed the drawer. I had no idea 2 year olds were so perceptive!

The other night, Vivi insisted on sitting in a "big chair." So here she is eating rice (one of her favorite foods) in her big chair next to Daddy. Thank goodness she has not wanted to sit in the big chair since. I'm not ready for her to give up her high chair yet!
And here's how picture taking goes. I ask her to smile and she gives me the silly smile. I keep snapping until, hopefully, I get a somewhat normal smile (as seen in the last picture).

The Weekend

Last weekend was busy, but so much fun! We had lots of friends stop by to see us, we went to church, and to breakfast, and then grocery shopping. Vivi really likes church these days. All week she tell us she wants to go to church and we have to explain that we have to wait until the weekend. We don't even have to take her out during mass any more. We've told her that she has to be really quiet so she can try to hear the angels.

On Saturday, Collins, Boriana, and Milla came to meet Addy Jane and brought us a yummy dinner. Vivi had so much fun playing with Milla!

Notice the dads having so much fun putting together puzzles! Ha ha just kidding, they were putting them all back together after the girls dropped 5 all at one time.

Sunday, our neighbors, Nick and Heather came by to see us.

That same evening, Eric, Susan, and Nick came to visit and brought us another delicious dinner.

Vivi has been THE BEST big sister over the last couple of weeks. We've been reading the big sister book that Aunt SheShe gave her and Damian even reads it with a high-pitched little girl voice when he gets to the big sister speaking parts. It's too cute! I think it's really helped her understand the difference between a big sister and a little sister. Vivi is always happy to see Addy Jane and spontaneously gives her hugs and kisses, tries to play with her, and makes sure to give her kisses and say bye-bye before she goes to school on the weekdays.

Vivi had her very first homework assignment over the weekend. At school, they had traced their bodies on a big sheet of paper and they had to go back and name all the body parts they know and write them down. Here she is with her Daddy doing her homework...

Our neighbor Judith popped in to give Vivi a special present that she could use to teach her little sister about shapes and colors...

This week, Stephanie and Preston came over and brought lunch on Monday which was a nice change from our regular old Monday! Yesterday, we met Lee and Les out for lunch and then Addy Jane and I stopped by Damian's office to meet everybody there. It's been a fun week and I'm looking forward to the warm and sunny weekend coming up!

Adeline Jane is 1 month old today!

Our sweet angel is already 1 month old!!! The time goes so quickly and our babies grow so fast!

Addy Jane has been holding her head up for a couple of weeks now and for longer and longer periods of time as the days go by. She loves to look around and be snuggled. When she smiles we can see her little dimples. One more package of Newborn diapers and I think it's time to move up to size 1s (sniff sniff). Her umbilical cord is still hanging on and Vivi calls it Addy Jane's boo boo and is quick to bring over the alcohol wipes when it's diaper changing time. She's the best little helper!

More Family & Friends

Here are a few pics from the first time Addy Jane got to meet PaPa Bill and Grandma DeDe. We were fortunate to get to visit with them and DeDe was able to spend almost a week with us!

Vivi has had so much fun opening presents. Here she's holding up the most adorable matching monogrammed outfits for her and Addy Jane...thanks Aunt Sarah, Uncle Brad, and Kate!

The Kendalls also came by to see us and Vivi had fun playing with Preston!
