Our Shining Star!!!

Montessori held their International Dinner on April 17th and Vivi's class learned about the country Italy. Vivi learned how to count to 10, her colors, and how to say hello and thank you in Italian! It has really stuck with her because when I asked her the other day what color shirt she wanted to wear, she told me "rosa" for pink (her favorite color)!

The kids also got on stage in front of 200 people and did a dance. This was Vivi's first time to perform like this and we were all wondering how she would react to the situation. We couldn't have been more proud to see how much she enjoyed herself. She was a shining star that day! I know for a fact she gets this from her Daddy!!!!! We got a little Video of her dancing, see below.
This is Vivi's BFF Hudson and his Mommy, Amy. Vivi and Hudson have been in the same class since they were babies. That's also her favorite teacher, Mrs. Marissa, in the yellow.
Vivi's other teacher, Mrs. Heather, is in the striped shirt. Her friend Charles has the curly hair and her friend Mady has the pig-tails.
This is Vivi's friend Aadyn. She loves any and all babies! She is usually the first to run over, followed by Mady, to greet us in the mornings when we go to Vivi's classroom. They are so excited to see Addy Jane! Vivi LOVES holding her sister, but only for about a minute and then she tells me her arm is tired.
Vivi is in the middle of the stage with the pink bow below. I still can't believe she didn't have stage fright (thank God)!
Papa Tom and Lola Grace were able to come watch the performance and take care of Addy Jane...
Our star in action! It's a little chaotic because these kids range in age from 18 months to 2 1/2, but it's so, so cute! Watch how Vivi kicks her little legs and sways her little hips...all with a big smile on her face. You can hear Damian cheering in the background. I love it! I can't wait until she is able to start taking dance classes.

Such a Blessed Weekend

April 10th, 11th, and 12th were a very special time for our family! On the 10th, we celebrated Emma's First Communion, on the 11th we celebrated Addy Jane's Baptism, and on the 12th Damian and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary (which Damian made VERY special).

Saturday, we drove down to Fort Smith to attend Emma's First Communion mass. After, Ron and Abby invited us all back to their hous
e for a delicious dinner. The cousins had a great time playing together, especially on the trampoline and swing set.
Sunday, all of our family got together again here in Fayetteville. It was a really beautiful weekend! The christening gown is the same one that Abby, Damian, Sarah, Emily, and Vivi wore! DeDe passed it along to us for the next generation to wear. I gave it a week long soaking in Oxy-Clean and it brightened right up! It is so beautiful and very precious and special to our family.

Back at our house for some BBQ...
Bill and DeDe stayed with us for one more night before they flew back to Atlanta and we were able to have a little picnic in the park...
Sheila saw this picture and it reminded her of a picture of our mom and her when she was a little girl. My dad found the picture, see below. Funny how fashion makes a come-back!

We are very thankful for a perfect, beautiful weekend with so many wonderful events and so many loved ones to celebrate with!

Addy Jane's 2 month check-up

She was technically 9 weeks old at this appointment. She cried for literally 2 seconds when she got her shots, but stopped as soon as I picked her up when the nurse was finished with her. Here are her stats...

Weight: 10lbs 15oz (50th percentile)
Height: 22 1/2 inches (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15 1/4 inches (50th percentile)
When Vivi got home from school that day, she had fun checking out the new plants and flowers coming up in the garden.
The squirrels have worn down one of our bird feeders and I asked Damian if he and Vivi could fix it. When he told her he had to find his hammer, she immediately ran off to go get her hammer, too!
And here's a video of our little baby doll doing what she does best...being sweet! We are in love all over again!!

Happy Easter 2010

We had a nice and quiet Easter weekend. Saturday, Damian's friend Justin was in town, so they went to lunch and to the baseball game. While he was doing that, I took the girls to Jacob Nordin's 4th birthday party at Home Depot. Vivi had a ton of fun and she (and mommy) built a butterfly house! I should mention it wasn't easy with Addy Jane in her sling, trying to follow directions (not my favorite thing) and using hammers, nails, and glue! But, WE DID IT!!!
Vivi is so proud...
Here's another angle...
Easter morning, we got up to see what the Easter bunny brought and then got ready for church. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful mass.
Vivi at the Easter egg hunt at church...
Lola Grace and Grandpa Tom gave the girls their Easter dresses this year. Vivi loves hers, thank you guys!
That afternoon, the Andrews and Rosencranz families came over for a ham dinner. Vivi and Milla cooking up some trouble in the snack drawer. Notice the big pile of goldfish that were poured out in the bottom of the drawer and both girls with full cheeks. Too funny!
Boriana shared some of her Bulgarian traditions with us which incuded a delicious home made Easter bread with rum soaked raisins and dyed eggs. Nadia really liked her blue egg as you can see!
One last one of baby Addy Jane sleeping peacefully...
